From time to time I have railed against the Republicans who give the Democrats a part of what they ask for and declare it a great victory. Compromise leads to an every more intrusive government.

In today’s Buchanan column, he brilliantly sums up the TPM and the general feeling in the country.

“The tea-party folks are not into the Gerald Ford politics of compromise and consensus. They have seen what it produces: the inexorable growth of government.”

I often disagree with Buchanan. He favors many things I am against, such as isolationism. But this time he was spot on. Compromise and bipartisanship always leads to bigger government, more regulation and higher taxes. People are fed up with compromise. Welcome to the world of NO!
