Warren Buffett has been in the news lately for complaining he does not pay enough taxes. Surely he knows he can stroke a check to the government at any time if it would make him feel better. But like most people who demand higher
taxes, Buffet has yet to lead by example and send in a check.

Buffett should be in the 38% bracket, but because of all the loop holes his tax burden is less than half of that. Why not close all loop holes that the K Street lobbyists have bought for their clients? Make the 38% bracket mean 38%.

If Buffett is serious about what he says, he could instruct the companies he controls not to lobby (bribe) congress to enact tax loop holes that benefit them. Without a doubt he will do that on the same day he writes the check to the
IRS.
